2026 Terms & Conditions

  1. Eligibility: All players must hold an official WHS handicap and be a current member of a recognised golf club. Players using OpenPlay (or equivalent) handicaps may participate in events, but are not eligible for handicap prizes or the overall Series tournament.

  2. The Series is played under The Rules of Golf as laid down by The R&A.

  3. The initial payment of £55 / £95 reserves your place at your regional events and your chosen national Final. This deposit is non-refundable if you withdraw from the Tour.

  4. Players who do not fulfil their schedule of booked events will not receive a refund.

  5. Players who do not complete four qualifying events before Finals week are not guaranteed a Final Day place.

  6. GPS and distance-measuring devices are permitted for distance only.

  7. The tournament is played as Full Stableford from the official competition tees.

  8. All events are run as official Open competitions and scores count toward National Handicaps.

  9. Full details of the holiday prize will be confirmed before the Tour tees off in April 2026.

  10. All entrants must be at least 16 years old on the day of their first event.

  11. A player may not win the same item of merchandise more than once through on-course competitions. There is no limit on vouchers a player may win.

  12. If a player qualifies for the International Finals and is unable to attend, no alternative prize will be offered.

  13. Failure to attend your tee time with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in a £20 fee to cover green fees.

  14. Failure to attend your tee time with no notice will result in removal from the tournament.

  15. Series Events Ltd reserves the right to change venues if required to ensure play on the dates allocated.

  16. Series Events Ltd reserves the right to adjust handicaps for tournament purposes where deemed necessary.

  17. Players who score better than handicap average in the previous season may have their handicap adjusted for the following season’s Series events.

  18. Players who qualified for the International Finals in the previous season will receive a one-shot handicap deduction for this season.

  19. Any player who qualifies for the International Finals may not compete off a higher handicap than the handicap used to qualify.

  20. If any events are cancelled, Series Events Ltd will reschedule them to ensure the Tour is completed.

  21. Handicap Integrity: To preserve the integrity of the Golf In Scotland Series, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to disqualify a player or adjust a handicap if, in its absolute discretion, it believes a handicap is inaccurate relative to playing ability. Decisions may be based on any of the following:

  • Handicap history review

  • Previous tournament/competition results

  • Current sanctions from other tournaments or County/National golf bodies

  • Consideration of completed qualifying competitions within the past 36 months

  • Publicly documented complaints or other handicap inconsistencies brought to our attention

  1. Code of Conduct: Players must behave in a professional and sportsmanlike manner at all Series events. Unacceptable conduct includes (but is not limited to):

  • Repeated or overt abusive/profane language

  • Throwing clubs or items in anger

  • Overt rudeness to anyone present

  • Wilful destruction or vandalism of property, including animal or plant life

  • Cheating or any deliberate attempt to circumvent the Rules of Golf

  • Physical attacks or threatening behaviour

  • Excessive alcohol consumption at the venue

Any player disqualified for misconduct will forfeit all prizes/merchandise and will not receive a refund of entry fees.


On-Course Competitions

Closest to the Pin

  • Run at all events on Par 3 holes.

  • The ball must be on the green and closer to the hole than the marker to qualify.

Longest Drive

  • Run at all events.

  • Handicap-sectioned and confirmed on the day.

  • The ball must finish on the fairway to count.

Last Man Standing

  • Optional side competition offering an additional route to the International Finals.

  • Rules are explained on the day and detailed in your event pack.

  • If you win Last Man Standing, you are removed from the main event leaderboard and awarded a Finals place through LMS.

  • You may only win one International Finals place, and if you qualify via LMS you cannot qualify through any other route.

Wild Cards

  • Wild Card places for the International Finals may be offered at end-of-season Finals.

  • Rules are explained on the day and detailed in your event pack.

  • If you win a Wild Card, you are removed from the main event leaderboard and awarded a Finals place through the Wild Card competition.

  • You may only win one International Finals place, and if you qualify via Wild Card you cannot qualify through any other route.
